Dear Friend:

You’re invited to join us for an intimate evening of talking, tasting and cookbook signing with Joan Nathan, the “doyenne of Jewish American food” on Sunday, October 28.

For this special The Book & The Cook event, Joan and I will create a collaborative meal based on recipes from her most recent cookbook, The New American Cooking, which won a James Beard Award and received the annual Best American Cookbook award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP).

And we love the book too. Joan focuses on ethnic foods and the history of the melting pot of American food today - making it a good match for us. In fact, we had a hard time narrowing down which recipes we wanted to cook for you.

Our menu for the evening includes a choice of five appetizers, five entrees, five sides and four desserts from Joan’s cookbooks. We’ll include special wines on our wine list that evening and can make recommendations if you’re interested in adding wines to go with each course.
