Alison at Blue Bell
Best bet in Blue Bell for good food.

The residents of Blue Bell should be thrilled that they have such a legitimately, unqualified good
restaurant in their midst. Chef Alison Barshak, who rose to fame in 1994 as Striped Bass'
executive chef, opened this reasonably priced eatery in order to bring some chichi seafood
to the suburbs. The roomy dining area boasts blue and yellow walls and lots of light coming
in from large windows. The ginger squid spiced up with a little wasabi makes an exquisite starter.
For an entree you might try the swordfish, which is tasty and moist and brilliantly sided with
salsa verde and grits mixed with fresh corn and crabmeat. The menu changes almost nightly but
chances are you'll be pleased with whatever fishiness the evening has to offer.
